CourseGraphic If you have never ridden a motorcycle, this class can help you learn how and help you become licensed. You'll be taught mental and physical skills for riding on public roads. You'll ride two-wheeled manual-shift-and-clutch motorcycles provided by WCC on our riding range.

This Basic Rider Course has a mandatory on-line eCourse pre-course assignment which must be learned and completed by you before the start of your class.  The eCourse must be taken on-line.  The new MSF eP1 eCourse requires at least 5 hours to complete, although 6-8 hours is typical. Learn the information in the eCourse. Knowing it will help you in this class and while riding. The information in the eCourse will be tested during the knowledge test.

A link to the eCourse will be emailed to all students registered for this Basic Rider Course at least 6 days before the class start date.  If you register within 6 days of the class start date then the link will be emailed within 36 hours or on Monday if you register during the weekend. The link will be emailed to the email address that you provide when you create your WCC profile.  It is your responsibility to monitor your email account for the email containing the link.  If you have not found the email in your email account within 4 days before the start of your class, contact WCC.

After completing the eCourse, print your eCourse completion certificate on 8 1/2" x 1"' paper. Bring your printed eCourse completion certificate to the first class session to give to the instructor.  You will not be allowed in class if you do not have your printed eCourse completion certificate, and no refund will be given or class transfer made. We will not accept viewing your completion certificate on a digital device. A paper copy of your completion certificate is required.

If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian MUST come to the start of the first class session to sign the liability waiver in person. If your parent or legal guardian does not come to the start of the first class session to sign the waiver then you will not be allowed in class and no refund will be given or class transfer made.  It is your responsibility, if you are less than 18 years old, to verify that your parent or legal guardian is available to come to the start of the first class session to sign the liability waiver in person.  We recommend that you verify this before you register for a class.

Attendance and successful completion

You must be in the classroom at the class start time for the first class session and on the range and ready to ride at the class start time for the second and third class sessions. If you arrive at your classroom or range after the class start time, or are not ready to begin class activities at the class start time, you will not be allowed in class that day or any following class session, and no refund will be given or class transfer made.

Contacting WCC to tell us that you will be late to class does not change the requirement to be in the right place and ready to begin class activities at the class start time.

You must complete and learn the online pre-course assignments, print the eCourse completion certificate on 8 1/2" x 11" paper, and bring the printed certificate to the first class session to give to the instructor, attend all class sessions, and pass the written knowledge test and the riding skills test to successfully complete the class.  If you do not do all these things, then you cannot successfully complete, pass, the class.

If the instructor determines that you are not making adequate progress in the class, due to not demonstrating adequate skills development, failing the knowledge test, or other reasons, or become a hazard to yourself or others, then your class participation may be ended and no refund will be given or class transfer made.
