Rustic Italian Cooking: New Year's Eve Feast

Make a marvelous seafood meal to celebrate and bring in the New Year! We will begin with smoked salmon pate’ made with parmigiano and mascarpone, served on a sliced baguette. Sauteed mussles with garlic, chillies, diced tomatoes and white wine will be served with a garlic bruschetta. Stufato di Calamari e Patate; calamari stew made with diced potato, fresh herbs, white wine and vegetable broth. For a side, Insalata di Polipo; poached octopus pieces mixed in a lemon vinaigrette dressing with garlic and green sweet olive and fresh chopped parley. Insalata di rinforzo; marinated mixed pickled vegetable salad tossed with cauliflower florets and dressed with wine vinegar olive oil chillies and garlic served on top a bed of freeze.
