Introduction to Home Machine Sewing

CourseGraphic If you've always wanted to sew and have little or no experience, this class will get you to a point where you can sew on your own. Learn how to operate a sewing machine, select an appropriate fabric and pattern, cut fabric, read sewing instructions and sample several necessary skills. Stretch your creative muscles, and learn a skill that will last you a lifetime.

Notice

Please read:  Supplies needed: You must bring a working sewing machine (with instruction book and foot pedal). You will also need (by session 2) your own sewing kit of shears, hand sewing needles, pins and a pin cushion, a marking utensil, measuring tape and a seam ripper. It's also recommended that you bring a 6” gauge and small sewing scissors. Fabric and notions are provided.
