ClassGraphic Yoga nidra is a meditative yoga practice for all. This one-hour session is equal to nearly four hours of restful sleep. Through guided relaxation, the body rests while the mind remains alert. Those who practice yoga nidra regularly, may experience health benefits such as lower blood pressure, rest and relaxation and a boost to the immune system. Other health benefits include a reduction in anxiety, insomnia, depression, stress and more. Position options-lay on back, side or sit in a chair. For your comfort, bring a mat, blanket, pillow, eye cover and water.
