This course is designed for previously licensed RNs and LPNs who need to validate their nursing skills competency or those who have graduated from a nursing program and still have to pass the NCLEX. This course meets MBON requirements and is aligned with the WCC Nursing Program for appropriate oversight and regulation, as required for regulatory and reporting purposes. You will review essential skills through videos, case studies, and virtual simulations. The Michigan Board of Nursing (MBON)-required competencies include head-to-toe assessment, vital signs, medication administration, documentation, infection control, surgical asepsis, fall prevention, body mechanics and transfers. Upon competent demonstration of skills, a certificate of completion will be issued.
PLEASE NOTE: Those who have not previously held a license can use the certification of completion to register for the NCLEX exam. You must pass the NCLEX exam to become a licensed RN/LPN.
