Become a certified professional postpartum doula and support families in their homes during the early weeks and months following birth. Topics include the basics of maternal recovery (including mental health), newborn care, breastfeeding, and family adjustment after the birth of a baby (or two+). This course prepares you to open your own income-generating postpartum doula practice and is approved by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ Doula Initiative Program for limited reimbursement to Medicaid-eligible families served.
