The pace of life is picking up.The revolutions of the 18th century brought social and political changes and the arts did not lag behind.Long-held artistic rules are no longer binding.The Impressionists open the door to the 20th century where anything seems possible.We will explore the spirit of the times and see how the giants of this era (Manet, Monet, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec and many others) are both powerful individual artists, and part of a new artistic movement.
